Lean and TWI certification as a structured development path
Lean and TWI certification helps connect knowledge acquisition with practice in a real work environment. If you want to implement systematic improvement and coaching routines, choose Lean Kata Green Belt: a team of up to 4 people carries out one real project. The price is €2,990 / Team. People responsible for preparing employees for work can compare the Certified TWI Instructor and Certified TWI Trainer pathways. The names are similar, but the objectives and requirements of these programmes should not be treated as interchangeable.
How do you choose the right certification level?
First, define the role in which the participant will use the new skills. A person applying the method in their own area needs different competencies from an instructor who guides employees step by step, and a trainer who develops future instructors needs yet another set of competencies. Next, check the prerequisites, how practical application is verified, the number of sessions and the work completed between them.
A well-chosen pathway should match not only the subject, but also the participant’s scope of responsibility. Before enrolling, compare the learning outcomes with the tasks the person actually performs. Also determine what evidence of practical application will be available in the organisation and whether the supervisor can provide time for practice in the team’s daily work.
