DIGITALISATION & AI IN PRACTICE

Digitalisation and AI that strengthen the process

Digitalisation and AI create value when they reduce effort, improve decisions and help people sustain a good standard. We combine Lean Management, data and artificial intelligence so technology addresses a specific business problem.

DIGITALISATION & AI CAPABILITIES

Five areas, one goal: better work with AI

Successful AI adoption starts with the process and the human role. We connect Lean AI, Prompt Engineering, Human–AI Collaboration, AI in the Organisation and the orchestration of agents, data and systems into one coherent way of improving work.

Lean AI combines continuous improvement thinking with the capabilities of artificial intelligence. It helps teams identify problems sooner, use employee knowledge and make better decisions without removing people from the loop.

Prompt Engineering brings discipline to human–AI interaction. Teams learn to define context, purpose, constraints and verification criteria so outputs are useful, safe and repeatable.

Human-AI Cognitive Lean Thinking helps expose cognitive waste, design the division of work between people and AI, and protect the quality of decisions, learning and accountability.

We design controlled workflows that connect people, specialised agents, data, tools and company systems. We begin with the process, a pilot and a measure, then scale only after the result is demonstrated.

From process review and use-case selection through a measurable pilot, usage rules and risk assessment to everyday team practice and scale. This implementation path is led by Maciej Misiurek, LeanTrix expert in digitalisation, AI and IT transformation and founder of MISOFT.

DIGITAL TOOLS AND AI GOVERNANCE

Digitalising knowledge, improvement and responsible AI

We do not implement technology for its own sake. We select solutions for the flow of work, team capability and the risks the organisation genuinely needs to control.

DIGITAL STANDARDISATION

eTWI

Digital work instructions, skills management and support for TWI trainers help organisations transfer knowledge faster and sustain the standard at the workplace.

AI FOR KAIZEN

KaizenUp AI

An AI-based assistant supports problem analysis, better questioning and the development of improvement ideas. It does not replace the expert — it strengthens the way the expert thinks.

GOVERNANCE & SAFETY

AI governance and the EU AI Act

We help define accountability, risk assessment, rules for approved tools and the documentation required for the safe and responsible use of artificial intelligence.

FROM NEED TO RESULT

How we run digitalisation and AI implementations

At LeanTrix, digitalisation is a process change, not an IT project detached from daily work. Every stage has an owner, a success criterion and feedback from the people who will use the solution.

STEP 01

Process diagnosis

We define the problem, the process customer and the measure. We examine where losses occur and which decisions require better information.

STEP 02

Data and standard

We structure information sources, the way work is performed and accountability. AI will not repair an unstable process or inconsistent data.

STEP 03

Pilot

We build a small solution, test it with users and compare the result with the baseline. The pilot creates fast feedback about what should change.

STEP 04

Scale

We stabilise the standard, build capability and extend the solution only where the pilot result justifies the next step.

KNOWLEDGE AND PRACTITIONER EXPERIENCE

AI at Lean Summit

Practical uses of artificial intelligence are also part of Lean Summit. Andrzej Danielewicz, Professor Aleksandra Przegalińska and Dr Jan Kocoń are among the experts who have shared their experience and perspective. The conversation about AI remains grounded in management, processes and the responsible role of people.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Digitalisation and AI — questions before the first step

What does digitalisation mean in Lean?

In Lean, digitalisation means using technology to simplify flow, reduce waste and make the right information available at the right place. We stabilise the process before choosing a tool.

How is Lean AI different from a conventional AI implementation?

Lean AI starts with customer value, a defined problem and the work people perform. The AI model is part of the solution, not the goal. This makes it easier to assess results, risk and whether the new standard can be sustained.

Where should an organisation start with digitalisation and AI?

Choose one frequent, measurable problem: time spent searching for knowledge, recurring errors, a slow information flow or labour-intensive data analysis. A focused scope enables a fast and controlled pilot.

Can AI be used in production and office processes?

Yes. In production, AI can support problem analysis, work instructions and operational decisions. In office processes, it can structure information, prepare analysis, support content creation and standardise repetitive tasks.

How do we keep data secure?

Define approved tools, permitted data types, user roles, verification rules and how decisions are documented. We connect operational practice with EU AI Act requirements and risk management.

How do we measure the result of an AI implementation?

The measure should come from the process: shorter lead time, fewer errors, faster onboarding, better output quality or less manual work. Using a tool is not a result in itself.

Start with the process, not the tool

During a free consultation, we will define the problem, a possible pilot scope and how the result should be measured. If AI is not the right answer, we will say so directly.
