Lean Kata Green Belt – Team Programme

Why do you need this service?

Lean Kata Green Belt is a team implementation and certification programme: up to four people from one organisation work together on one real project. The price is PLN 12,900 net per team project slot, equivalent to PLN 3,225 net per person with four participants.

Lean Kata Green Belt – a team that delivers a measurable result

The team works on a significant organisational challenge through Toyota Kata and PDCA. The standard schedule is 8–12 weeks; the same ten meetings can be spread over a longer period if the pace of experiments or team availability requires it. The start date is agreed individually with the organisation. Additional sessions require a separate agreement.

A small team brings several perspectives, shares the work, checks hypotheses together and maintains continuity if a member misses a meeting. The other members continue the project and then communicate the decisions and next steps. The programme develops the ability to analyse current conditions, use data, run small PDCA experiments, create an A3 and standardise the result.

The organisation purchases one project slot, rather than separate individual places. The full team participates in meetings, works on the same challenge and defends the result together. The team should bring a potential challenge; its importance, scope, measures and roles are refined during the kick-off with the sponsor.

The programme connects practical Lean Management with real implementation work. Our current open workshop and programme schedule presents current enrolment options and delivery details.

  • Provide access from day one to the 40-hour instructional library, used according to the project’s current needs.
  • Guide thinking, analysis and experimentation while the team carries out its own project.
  • Work with the team and sponsor on meaningful measures, evidence, learning and the decision on further implementation.

Implementation support

We provide support based on the Kata process, which allows us to adapt our activities to the specifics of your organization, taking into account the jointly set goals. The Kata process consists of four key elements that enable effective implementation of assumptions.

Determining the course of action

Designing a concept that responds to the organization's goals and challenges.

Determining the current state

Learning about the current situation and collecting input data to define the next step.

Determining the target state

Determining the desired and measurable end result and a plan for its implementation.

Experiments - consultations

Implementation of activities in accordance with the established cooperation model, based on PDCA cycles.

We operate according to PDCA

P

PLAN

  • Meeting 1 – kick-off with the team and sponsor, 60 minutes. Agree the challenge, scope, success measures, team roles and sponsor expectations.
  • Meetings 2–3 – current condition and target condition, 2 × 45 minutes. Work with data, establish the direction and define a measurable goal.
  • Choose the knowledge needed for the current obstacle from the instructional library. The full library is available from the first day; participants use relevant materials rather than having to complete all 40 hours.
  • Connect the project with a real process and business outcome, with a shared language between the sponsor, team and trainer.

D

DO

  • Meetings 4–9 – PDCA experiments, 6 × 45 minutes. Develop hypotheses, run tests, draw conclusions and choose the next steps.
  • Work through Toyota Kata and small experiments using current-condition analysis and process data.
  • Use short instructions matched to the current obstacle, practical trainer experience and AI support for analysis, synthesis and documenting experiments.
  • The library includes TPM, SMED, TWI, VSM and 5S modules of approximately 30 minutes each, plus more than 20 additional modules. Select what the current stage of the project requires.
  • The trainer helps the team think and test; the participants remain responsible for carrying out the project.

C

CHECK

  • Conclude each meeting with a decision on the next step.
  • Assess hypotheses and experiments against the project’s measures, process observations and evidence.
  • Evaluate the business effect, what the team has learned and the standard needed to sustain the result.
  • Prepare the A3 and evidence for the final project defence with the sponsor.

A

ACT

  • Meeting 10 – project defence with the team and sponsor, 60 minutes. Present the result, evidence and lessons, followed by the sponsor’s decision on further implementation.
  • Standardise the verified result so that it can be sustained and scaled.
  • Develop a team capable of running further experiments using a shared approach.
  • Lean Kata Green Belt, Leantrix / Optimum: awarded after completing and defending a real project and meeting the programme requirements.
  • Lean Green Belt, International Lean Six Sigma Institute: awarded after passing the ILSSI examination. The opportunity to obtain both certificates is included in the programme price.
